Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp raved about Bruno Guimaraes ahead of Newcastle United’s game with Leicester City today.
The Brazilian was named as a starter for the second successive game against the Foxes, after a fine display against Wolves.

Bruno has made a very promising start to life at St. James’ Park.
The South American had to bide his time a bit after first joining.
Eddie Howe was reluctant to change a midfield that had been performing really well.
But in the past few weeks opportunities have been more plentiful for the 24-year-old. And he has impressed everyt time he has taken to the field.
It is clear the club have land a player of serious quality, and Redknapp showered praise on him earlier today on Sky Sports.
He said: “He’s top-class. Great skill, work ethic, the Geordies will love his appetite for the game. He’s got a lovely touch and appreciation about the players around him. I’ve just been so impressed with him. And he’s tough as well.”

Redknapp also noted Bruno ‘s integration into the starting XI, likening it to that of Fabinho at Liverpool a few years ago.
The £43 million Brazilian had to show great patience before becoming the vital cog he now is for the Reds.
“He’s (Eddie Howe) maybe given him five or six weeks of being on the bench, watching what the Premier League is about. I remember Fabinho at Liverpool who took a bit of time. Jurgen Klopp just wanted him to watch. See how tough it is to play in.”
Bruno would go on to score twice for Newcastle against the Foxes after Redknapp’s praise. He struck a 94th-minute winner, to all but ensure Newcastle’s safety.
Howe’s integration of Bruno Guimaraes at Newcastle has been spot on
Howe deserves a lot of credit for the way he has managed Bruno since his arrival.
There were calls to throw him straight in, but the manager did the right thing in breaking him in gently.

His game time has gradually been increasing, and it appears to have really served him well.
Quite possibly, he will really hit the ground running at the start of next season as a result.
