The attempts to sign Joe Willock permanently look set to be one of the themes of Newcastle’s summer.
The Arsenal man was on fire at the end of his loan spell last season and many Magpies fans would love their club to buy him.
It’ll come down to many factors including whether Willock can settle long-term in the north and how much of a future he has at Arsenal.
He’s not in Newcastle training – yet – but Allan Saint-Maximin is and posted on Instagram after a hard session.
Willock was in the replies praising Saint-Maximin, calling him a ‘machine’. Jamal Lewis also offered praise.
Saint-Maximin told Willock he misses having him around at Newcastle and the feeling is clearly mutual.
He said he misses the wideman too, so could they be reunited in black and white next season?

That remains to be seen; whether Newcastle can come up with the cash and convince Willock to sign is up in the air now.
Saint-Maximin probably wants Willock signed just as much as any fan does.
The Englishman shares the creative burden and good players simply enjoy playing with other good players.
