Odysseas Vlachodimos is a goalkeeper who plays for Newcastle United but is on loan at Sevilla.

Newcastle United were forced into buying Odysseas Vlachodimos in the summer of 2024 by Nottingham Forest.

Newcastle needed to sell Elliot Anderson to balance the books for PSR and Forest met the £35m asking price, but would only buy the midfielder if the Toon bought their goalkeeper.

With a deadline approaching, Newcastle had little choice but to accept the deal that their new sporting director Ross Wilson laid out.

They signed Vlachodimos, who played just 45 minutes for the club in his first season before leaving on loan for Sevilla.
