Newcastle United are going to celebrate winning the Carabao Cup with supporters on Saturday.

It has been more than a week since Newcastle United won the Carabao Cup, beating Liverpool 2-1 at Wembley to end their trophy drought.

The feelgood factor on Tyneside is not going away any time soon, with the Carabao Cup presented to Newcastle United supporters inside St James’ Park on Sunday during the Tyne-Wear derby between Newcastle United Women and Sunderland Women.

Next up is an event on March 29th, with Newcastle United set for a celebration on the Town Moor.

Sam Fender was asked to join Newcastle United’s trophy event

A black and white party is set to take place on the Town Moor on Saturday, as Toon fans toast the team who won Newcastle’s first domestic trophy since 1955.

Thousands of supporters will be in attendance, but there will be no appearance from Sam Fender.

That is according to the Telegraph, who report that Fender will not perform at the Newcastle United event at the Town Moor despite being asked.

The Telegraph state that there will be live music and DJs, but the North Shields star is not expected to be involved at this moment in time.

Fender was not at the Carabao Cup final at Wembley, with Alan Shearer speaking to him on FaceTime after the final whistle.

Having just finished his European tour, Fender is set to tour North America in April. His next gig is set to take place in Vancouver on April 5th, which could be a reason why he is not involved in Newcastle United’s trophy event.

Newcastle United players set to parade Carabao Cup trophy

As well as the event on the Town Moor, there will also be an open top bus parade for the Newcastle United team.

That will kick off the festivities on Saturday, as the players and staff travel through the city before ending at the Town Moor.

The club have confirmed that they will announce the full details on Tuesday March 25th.

It should be a lot better than Newcastle’s last bus parade, which took place in 1999 after they lost the FA Cup final.
