Jason Tindall has been linked with a move away from Newcastle United.
The Newcastle United assistant manager took centre stage during Eddie Howe’s recent absence, and has been linked with becoming the main man elsewhere.
Jason Tindall was touted as an option for the QPR job, with the Championship side looking for a replacement for Marti Cifuentes.
Howe recently told the media that he does not want his right-hand man to leave St James’ Park, and it appears that he is going to get his wish.

Update on Jason Tindall’s Newcastle United future
As part of a Q&A for the Athletic, journalist Chris Waugh has provided an update on Jason Tindall’s Newcastle United future.
Waugh has stated that Tindall is not expected to leave Newcastle United. He adds that talk of a Toon exit has been played down by ‘multiple sources’, despite the rumoured interest from QPR.
During Howe’s recent absence, it was reported that Tindall does not want to be a manager.
The 47-year-old is happy in his role as Howe’s assistant. In truth, they are more of a double act!
Tindall has been a manager twice in his career. He was player-manager at Weymouth, while he replaced Howe at Bournemouth after the current Toon boss resigned in 2020.
Jason Tindall snubbed against Chelsea
Following Newcastle’s 2-0 win over Chelsea on Sunday, there was an incident on the touchline.
As the final whistle blew, Howe and Enzo Maresca shook hands.
Tindall also went to shake the Chelsea manager’s hand, only to be ignored.
After the game, Maresca spoke about not shaking Tindall’s hand.
He told the media: “I shook Eddie Howe’s hand. I think this is enough.”
The Toon assistant boss, who is affectionately known as ‘Mad Dog’, is no stranger to touchline altercations.
Tindall argued with Ruud van Nistelrooy earlier this season, while there have been plenty of run-ins with the likes of Mikel Arteta and Unai Emery.
