The good times have returned for Newcastle United.
Nine consecutive victories have seen Eddie Howe’s side equal a club record and there is optimism of another successful season at Newcastle.
Indeed, they are on course for Champions League qualification and have one foot in a second Carabao Cup final in two years – mirroring the success of the glorious 2022/23 campaign.
Owners PIF were always thought to believe this season offered a great chance to attack the upper echelons of the Premier League while going deep in the domestic cups and that is certainly proving to be the case.

Things are certainly looking healthy right now and it seems there’s been good news off the pitch too.
In fact, club legend and former manager Kevin Keegan could soon make a comeback.
Kevin Keegan’s return to Newcastle now moves a step closer

Fan group Wor Flags were keen to bring Keegan back to St James’ Park for the first time since he left his second stint as manager in 2008 when Newcastle played Liverpool last month.
That didn’t happen in the end but The Daily Mail have shared a fresh update.
They claim talks to bring ‘King Kev’ back to St James’ moved a step closer this week, with senior commercial staff set to spend some time talking to the 73-year-old.
Interestingly, Keegan is thought to have privately claimed he will not return until Newcastle have won a trophy.
Given recent form, that may not be too long away now…
PIF have always wanted Kevin Keegan to return to Newcastle United
Treated dreadfully by former owner Mike Ashley, it’s a great shame not to have seen one of the most important figures in Newcastle history at the club for almost twenty years now.
Such is his standing on Tyneside, the Newcastle United owners were understood to have planned to offer him and Alan Shearer ambassadorial roles in the initial wake of the takeover way back in 2021.
That has not yet worked out but perhaps things are moving in the right direction again now.
If and when it finally does happen, it promises to be an emotional day.
