Newcastle United chairman Yasir Al-Rumayyan was spotted in the royal box at Wembley during the Carabao Cup final victory.
Wembley was shaking when Newcastle United doubled their lead against Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.
After local hero Dan Burn broke the deadlock, it was Alexander Isak who scored the second. From then on, Newcastle fans could start dreaming.
Eddie Howe outsmarted Arne Slot with a brilliant game plan that saw Newcastle go toe-to-toe with a Liverpool side who have dominated the Premier League this season.
After ending the 70-year wait for a major trophy, Newcastle’s celebrations were legendary. Alan Shearer was pictured in tears, while Elliot Anderson was spotted at Wembley joining in with the Newcastle supporters.
Up in the royal box, Newcastle chief and PIF governor Yasir Al-Rumayyan was already plotting ahead.

Yasir Al-Rumayyan ready to capitalise on Newcastle trophy
Earlier this month, PIF launched ‘Project 2030’ at Newcastle with the aim of being at the top of English football in the next five years.
One of the four aims in that project was to win a trophy and it didn’t take long for Howe to deliver.
Another of those aims was for Newcastle to build a new £1.5bn stadium, and it seems Al-Rumayyan is wasting no time moving forward with those plans.
According to The Athletic, Al-Rumayyan “pounded his phone for 30 minutes after the game”, leaving voice notes and sending messages.
While there is no confirmation what Al-Rumayyan was discussing in particular, the report points out that Newcastle are “awaiting Saudi Arabian sign-off for upgrades to both their training base and stadium”.
After ending the wait for a trophy, fans may finally see some progress with the training ground and stadium news.
Yasir Al-Rumayyan promise to Newcastle United fans
Under PIF and Al-Rumayyan, Newcastle are aiming to be “best in class” in every department.
That will take time, but Sunday’s trophy confirmed that Newcastle are certainly on track with their long-term project.
After full-time, Al-Rumayyan promised more trophies for Newcastle, saying: “That’s the first and it’s not going to be the last!”

PIF have fully backed Howe and now he has become the first English manager to lift a trophy since 2008, the support for him will only grow.
There is a promising future ahead for Newcastle fans, and hopefully one with many more days like Sunday.
