There’s simply no stopping Bruno Guimaraes in a Newcastle United shirt.
The midfielder has been a revelation in the Premier League, proving to be well worth the £42million investment in January.
Eddie Howe took his time with the 24-year-old, slowly integrating him into the starting XI. It looked like a bold decision at the time, but it is paying off now.
Bruno has started the last four games for Newcastle, and we’ve won every single one of them. Not only that, but Bruno has played a pivotal role in every victory.
He’s got three goals and assist to his name over the past four games, which is incredible for a player who wasn’t brought to St James’ Park to contribute goals.
Newcastle fans absolutely love Bruno, and former Toon defender Warren Barton has made a big claim about the Brazil international.

NBC Sports broadcast the Premier League in America, and asked fans an interesting question Twitter. They asked people to fill in the blank – ‘the best player in the Premier League right now is…’.
There’s plenty of players to pick from. You could go for Son Heung Min or Mo Salah, or perhaps Virgil van Dijk or Kevin de Bruyne.
But Ex-Toon defender Barton believes it’s Bruno.
Considering his form in recent weeks, you can certainly put up a strong case for it being Newcastle’s number 39. The January recruit has adapted to the Premier League with ease, and the quality of some of his goals is frightening.
He’s a complete midfielder – something Newcastle haven’t had for years. It’s actually staggering that he plays for us.
Not many outsiders will agree with Barton, such is the quality in the Premier League nowadays. But Bruno is certainly turning heads with his performances in a Toon shirt.
And the exciting thing is that he’s only going to get better. The more he improves, the more people will stand up and take notice.
