It has been a tough few weeks for Newcastle United, but in Eddie Howe the club have the right man to turn things around.
The Magpies have lost three Premier League games in a row, with the fixture list being rather unkind.
Howe will be very unhappy with the club’s start to the season, but the 45-year-old is most certainly the right man to take Newcastle United forward. That is what the owners think, and they have full faith in Howe and his ability.
And so they should. He is building a culture on Tyneside, creating a team that is going to thrive in the coming years. It is a young squad that is only going to get better, and Howe has already proven just how good he is at helping youngsters improve.
He is someone who young players want to learn from, which is exactly why Toon midfielder Joe White has been full of praise for the Newcastle boss.

Joe White hails ‘unbelievable’ Eddie Howe
The 20-year-old joined Crewe Alexandra on loan last week, and has spoke very highly of Howe in an interview with Crewe’s official website.
“It’s all changed quickly at Newcastle,” he said.
“The gaffer is unbelievable, even when an Under-23 like me steps up to train with the first team he takes the time to speak with you.
“He takes an interest in how you are doing as a person as well as a player. As well as being a good coach he is a good guy.”

Howe has changed the mood behind the scenes at Newcastle at every level
White’s words show just how invested Howe is in the young players. He shows an interest in them and makes them feel part of the senior group, and that will certainly make them feel welcome and at ease as they train alongside top class players such as Kieran Trippier and Bruno Guimaraes.
Howe has created a wonderful environment behind the scenes at Newcastle, and it shows with comments like the ones White has made.
He will be very keen to show Howe what he can do while he is out on loan. He made his debut for the League Two side on Saturday, coming off the bench during Crewe’s 3-1 win over MK Dons.
Given the amount of top class midfielders at Newcastle right now, it will be very difficult for White to make the step up to the senior side at St James’ Park, but Howe and co will certainly have a plan in place to help him reach that level.
