The official UEFA Under 21s Twitter account has posted a brilliant video of Anthony Gordon being mobbed by his England teammates after Euros victory.
England‘s Under 21s lifted the U21 European Championship trophy last night after beating Spain Under 21s in a match that was fraught with controversy and tension.
A key figure in their tournament win was Newcastle United‘s Anthony Gordon who picked up UEFA’s Player of the Tournament award for his tireless efforts for the Young Lions.
Gordon scored twice and provided one assist in the U21 Euros for England
Gordon scored two goals and provided one assist during the tournament and looked dangerous at times during last night’s final but nobody was able to capitalise on his play.
Now the Official UEFA U21s Twitter account has shared a video of the England side surrounding Gordon and signing his chant – “Oooh Anthony Gordon” with the account using that as the caption.

No doubt Anthony Gordon will get a similar reception when he returns to Newcastle and then again when he steps back out onto the hallowed turf at St James’ Park.
Gordon is hoping to prove all the nay-sayers wrong at Newcastle next season
Many people rolled their eyes when Newcastle splashed £45million on Gordon, and no-doubt felt justified in their skepticism as the youngster struggled to adapt to the pace of play at Newcastle.

But Gordon himself has admitted he found it hard when he first arrived at Newcastle but he’s determined to get up to speed and come back fitter and better next season and so far, I believe him 100%.
Gordon’s future is looking brighter and brighter and with him in our squad, Newcastle’s future is looking bright too.
