Newcastle United could only draw 1-1 with Brighton on Saturday, but it was a special day for youngster Lewis Cass, who scored his first professional goal out on loan.
The 21-year was on target playing for Port Vale in the FA Cup against Accrington Stanley in a 5-1 win.
The full-back has been enjoying a really good stint with the League Two side.
So far, he has made 14 appearances for them, and prior to his goal, had made a couple of assists for the club.
It was a cracking strike from Cass at Vale Park.
In the 85th minute, he ghosted in completely unmarked at the back post. He then beat the goalkeeper with a fierce side-footed effort.
It was great work down the left by James Gibbons, who rolled the ball across for the Toon talent to finish.
Cass’ great start follows a really good season on loan at Hartlepool, which culminated in promotion back to the Football League for the Pools.
He made 35 appearances in total at Victoria Park.

It is great to hear Cass is off the mark in terms of goals in his career.
The star, a full-back by trade, is really catching the eye operating as a right-sided centre-back.
It was intelligent play to burst forward in the way that he did. The Stanley defenders simply had no clue he was arriving in the box and were powerless to prevent him from scoring in the end.
Vale fans have been enjoying what Cass has been bringing to the table so far. Hopefully the Newcastle talent can continue to shine following his first goal.
