Amanda Staveley has said a lot about Newcastle United despite basically saying nothing at all.
Toon fans are desperate for takeover news as the season draws to a close.
Mike Ashley is currently involved in two legal battles with the Premier League, as he looks to resurrect the deal that collapsed last summer.
PCP Capital Partners had agreed a £305million deal to buy the club last year. However, things fell apart when PIF withdrew in July.

More than a year since a deal was agreed, some fans are still hopeful that a takeover can happen. Others have moved on.
But Staveley’s latest ‘comments’ about the club suggest that she hasn’t gone away.
She claimed that the project would have damaged every club ‘financially and reputationally’.
However, she admitted that she was not allowed to discuss the Magpies.
“I am party to strict Non-Disclosure Agreements, so I cannot speak about Newcastle United at this time,” she said.

This heavily suggests that the consortium haven’t gone away. While it is Ashley leading the legal charge, Staveley’s inability to comment suggests they’re still at the table.
That’s how a lot of fans have interpreted the situation.
We have never had confirmation from Staveley or anyone that they are still interested in Newcastle, other than reports from the media.
But it would be strange of Ashley to go to all this trouble if he had no assurances that they would return if given the green light to complete a deal.
Staveley confirming that NDAs are still in place has to be considered a positive sign. However, there is still no guarantee that the club will win their legal battles.
