Newcastle United are thriving without Steve Bruce, who left St James’ Park 28 months ago.
Steve Bruce was given one game in charge of Newcastle United after the change of ownership, as he oversaw the first game of the new era on Tyneside.
It was a 3-2 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, and Bruce was relieved of his duties days later.
Since then, Newcastle have brought in Eddie Howe and achieved so much. He guided the club to safety, then got them to a League Cup final and qualified for the Champions League.
As for Bruce, he has only managed one club since. He had a brief stint with West Brom, while he has also done a lot of media work since his departure from the Hawthorns in October 2022.
But now it looks like the 63-year-old is ready to return to the touchline.

Steve Bruce keen to return to management
According to the Mirror, Steve Bruce is ready to make a return to management. They state that he is interested in managing a club abroad, which is not something he has ever done in his career.
Every team that Bruce has taken charge of has been English, but that could soon change. The Mirror add that Bruce would be interested in the vacant South Korea job, while he is also attracting interest from teams in Saudi Arabia.
Regardless, Bruce is ready for one last hoorah, it seems. That is despite initial suggestions that he would never manage again after his exit from St James’ Park.
Since then he has struggled at West Brom, which is a job he has admitted he rushed in to.
Now Bruce wants to test his talents further afield, and it will be interesting to see where he ends up. One lucky club is gong to witness Bruceball in all its glory.
