Potentially looking to prove something ahead of Euro 2024 and having failed to impress Pep Guardiola regularly enough, Phillips looks a tempting target for a lot of clubs.
Newcastle haven’t shown much interest in bidding wars since the takeover, so trying to get a deal done early feels particularly important.
