Newcastle United academy graduate Adam Armstrong appears to be set for a move to the Premier League with Southampton.
The forward was excellent last season, scoring 28 Championship goals for Blackburn Rovers.
That form and the fact his contract expires next year have led to intense speculation that he could on the move this summer.
And Newcastle fans have been watching the situation closely, with the club inserting a 40% sell on clause when he left the Magpies to join Blackburn in 2018.

According to Hampshire Live, Southampton have agreed a £15million fee, meaning Newcastle will receive £6million via their clause.
However, some supporters are still disappointed. They feel that this is a missed opportunity and that we should have brought Armstrong back to St James’ Park.
While Callum Wilson is exceptional, his injury record is certainly a worry. We are very reliant on him for goals, with Dwight Gayle often struggling in the Premier League.

Meanwhile, Allan Saint-Maximin, Joelinton and Miguel Almiron are far from a consistent source of goals.
Therefore, a move for Armstrong would have made sense. We would have been able to get him on the cheap too thanks to our sell on clause, which could have been waived.
We were linked with the forward earlier in the year, but talk quickly died down when the transfer window.
But it looks like Armstrong will get his chance in the Premier League. But sadly it will be in the red and white of Southampton rather than the black and white of Newcastle.
