Newcastle United fans often respond to Salomon Rondon on social media when he posts, and the comments don’t go unnoticed by the player.

The Venezuela international has just finished a loan spell with CSKA Moscow, and is returning to Dalian Pro.

It remains to be seen what is in store next for the star, but Sky Sports report a return to the Premier League is ‘appealing’ for the player.

Rondon left Newcastle in the summer of 2019 much to the frustration of many supporters.

The South American was a hit at St. James’ Park during his season-long loan from West Bromwich Albion, but owner Mike Ashley would not sanction a permanent move.

He headed to China, where he has worked with ex-Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez.

Rondon recently congratulated Alan Shearer for his induction into the Premier League Hall of Fame, and says his mentions were swamped with Toon fans.

He told Sky Sports: “You do not forget those things of things. I feel a lot of love from them and the feeling is mutual.

“I had some really happy years in the Premier League and produced my best football there and I continue to follow the league, which is, without doubt, the best in the world.”

Newcastle surely have to look into Rondon return

It’s clear from these comments that Rondon is still very fond of Newcastle.

It’s not really clear how much a transfer for Rondon would cost Newcastle, but it is surely worth looking into.

Yes he’s been over in China, but Rondon could be great backup for Callum Wilson and he’d surely be an upgrade on Andy Carroll.
