Euro 2020 is over for Newcastle’s Ryan Fraser and Scotland.
The Scots were knocked out of the competition on Tuesday night after a 3-1 defeat to Croatia.
The result left them bottom of the group with just a single point, courtesy of the 0-0 draw with England.
A win over Croatia would have put Scotland into the second round, but they were put to the sword by a Luka Modric masterclass.
The dream is over for the Tartan Army, and for Toon winger Ryan Fraser.

Despite ending the season injured, Fraser was named in Steve Clarke’s 26-man squad, amid questions about his fitness.
The 27-year-old appeared twice for Scotland, but didn’t start at all. He was an unused substitute in the 0-0 draw at Wembley.
He was a late sub against Czech Republic and Croatia, playing 43 minutes in total.
Overall, it was a disappointing tournament for Fraser.
Wasted opportunity for Ryan Fraser ahead of Newcastle return
Fraser had a debut season to forget at St James’ Park.
He arrived with some excitement last summer, looking like a smart piece of business on a free transfer.
However, injury and fitness issues ruined his first year with the Magpies.
Fraser had little to no impact in black and white, struggling to put a run of games together.

His lowest moment came against Sheffield United away, picking up a ridiculous red card for two yellows.
Fraser’s last Newcastle appearance came in April, playing the full 90 minutes in the humiliating 3-0 defeat to Brighton.
He was a surprise inclusion in Clarke’s Scotland squad, but the tournament looked like a great opportunity for Fraser. It was a chance for him to prove his fitness on a grand stage, and build up some confidence ahead of his second season in the north east.
But it just hasn’t happened. Fraser’s two appearances have came with Scotland chasing the game, desperately looking to avoid defeat.
The former Bournemouth winger was unable to inspire a comeback in both games, with Scotland finishing rock bottom of Group D.

Now Fraser will prepare to head back to Newcastle ahead of pre-season.
His debut year at St James’ Park failed to live up to the hype. He now has more doubters than believers.
A strong showing at Euro 2020 could have helped kickstart his struggling Newcastle career, but it looks like a wasted opportunity.
