Newcastle Under-23’s boss Kevin Richardson has praised teenage duo Joe White and Elliot Anderson.
Both players have been on the bench for the first team this season but have not yet made an appearance.
As per the Shields Gazette, Richardson is a fan of both players but also shared why he doesn’t expect Steve Bruce to give them a chance anytime soon.

“They’re two good players. You could see that when they were younger,” he said of White, 19, and Anderson 18.
“They’ve grown a few years now, they’re getting better but still learning. Hopefully, in the near future, I think a lot of people would like to see them get into the first team and given a chance.
“I’m glad they made it at Newcastle. Potentially they have a lot to offer. It’s just managing them in the right way to make them better and give them a chance to get minutes, experience the crowds.
“I hope they do get that chance. The gaffer is going for more experience. The manager would love to give one or two kids a chance, I am sure, but it has to be at the best time. At the moment that isn’t the case.”

It’s true that a relegation battle isn’t the best time to bring in young players, but Newcastle need a spark.
Bringing in young players would give the fans something to get excited about and a reason to have optimism for the future.
The tried and tested approach hasn’t got Newcastle a win so far, so how bad could some youthful energy really be?
