Richard Masters has finally spoken. Sadly it has nothing to do with the Newcastle United takeover.
While the Toon Army demand answers over the club’s failed takeover, the nation are toasting a first major final for England since 1966.
Wednesday night was incredible. The Three Lions rallied, coming from a goal down to reach the final of Euro 2020.
Sure, the penalty was dubious. But it was a game England dominated and deserved to win.
And win it they did, setting up a date with Italy on Sunday evening.

But while Gareth Southgate’s side have been raising the nation’s spirits, Newcastle fans remain furious with the Premier League’s handling of last year’s takeover attempt.
Takeover uncertainty continues to dominate at Newcastle
PCP Capital Partners had agreed a deal to buy the club from Mike Ashley, and merely needed approval from the Premier League.
Their Owners’ and Directors’ test ran for 17 weeks before PIF walked away, leaving the deal in ruins.
Now Ashley is taking legal action against the Premier League, as he looks to reclaim his first class ticket out of St James’ Park.
In the build up to arbitration, pressure has mounted on the Premier League for the hearing to be held in public.
The club released a statement, while Amanda Staveley has contacted MPs and spoke to the national media about the need for transparency.

Every move made by Newcastle United or the buyers has been met with ‘no comment’ from the Premier League.
They have left one of their clubs in limbo for a year. And all they continue to say is ‘no comment’.
In January, Masters did say something slightly different, stating that the Newcastle ownership issue would be resolved in a ‘timely manner’.
But with England reaching the final of Euro 2020, Masters has taken time out of his busy schedule of saying ‘no comment’ to congratulate Southgate and his team.
Unsurprisingly, his comments have been met with a sea of responses from angry Toon fans.
