Newcastle United co-owners the Reuben Brothers have delivered a very intriguing message on social media.

They increased their stake in Newcastle United 12 months ago when Amanda Staveley sold her shares, with the British billionaires now owning 15% of the club. The other 85% belongs to PIF, who are the main decision makers at St James’ Park.

Since becoming Newcastle United owners, the Reuben Brothers have been fairly quiet. David Reuben’s son, Jamie Reuben, has been the public face of the club and remains on the board of directors.

Jamie Reuben is often vocal on social media, reacting to the Magpies’ results. He even comments on matters beyond Eddie Howe’s side, with Reuben congratulating Paris Saint-Germain on winning the Champions League.

Reuben Brothers look to the future at Newcastle United

His father, David, and uncle, Simon, rarely comment on their involvement with Newcastle United, but that has suddenly changed.

They shared a message on their official Instagram account, Reuben Brothers Group, detailing their pride at being part of shaping the future of football and writing the next chapter in Newcastle United’s historic story.

“Newcastle United is a symbol of resilience, passion and community,” they wrote.

“Reuben Brothers is proud to stand alongside this historic institution as it writes its next chapter, building on legacy, driving ambition, and uniting generations of supporters.

“Together, we honour the past and shape the future of this beautiful game called football.”

Newcastle United set to make stadium decision

Talk of Newcastle United’s next chapter comes at a time when the Magpies are plotting two major changes.

The first is the stadium, with a move away from St James’ Park becoming increasingly inevitable.

Newcastle’s new stadium could hold 70,000 fans, which is almost 20,000 more than their current capacity.

The Toon Army are awaiting an official update from the club, and they might not have to wait much longer. That is according to the Telegraph’s Luke Edwards, who has stated on X that there is expected to be an announcement this month.

Newcastle United’s new stadium will be an incredibly ambitious project, while many supporters are still against the idea of leaving St James’ Park.

There is also set to be another big change, with Newcastle United redesigning their badge.

Newcastle United’s decision has angered supporters, while Eddie Howe is eager for the club to respect tradition as they prepare to tweak an iconic crest.
