Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe ignored calls from Bournemouth fans to bring on Ryan Fraser yesterday.
That’s according to Chronicle Live, who noted the hugely different receptions received by the former Cherries at the Vitality Stadium.
The Magpies boss received bellowing cheers as he emotionally made his way around the pitch after the game.
However, for the Scottish winger, he didn’t get to enjoy the same warm welcome at his former club.

Having left Bournemouth during Project Restart, the 28-year-old was booed from the off by the home fans.
The Cherries’ supporters were begging for Howe to bring Fraser on, so they could continue to vent their anger towards him. “Eddie, Eddie warm him up,” they chanted.
Despite this, the Newcastle manager was sensible to keep him on the bench, instead opting for Jacob Murphy and Elliot Anderson.
Howe ignored Ryan Fraser abuse
This was always going to happen at the Vitality Stadium.
Howe is an absolute hero for Bournemouth fans, whilst Fraser is seen as more of a villain.
This doesn’t seem like it will change anytime soon, so Newcastle were probably better off keeping the Scotland international on the bench.
The Toon came away with a disappointing point yesterday, failing to capitalise on Tottenham’s 4-1 defeat to Leicester.

The Tyneside outfit remain fourth in the Premier League table, yet they could have gone four points clear with a game in-hand if they came away with a win.
Newcastle will now look to prepare to face Liverpool on Saturday, before the big Carabao Cup final against Manchester United the following weekend.
