Newcastle United have one of the best managers in Europe in Eddie Howe.
That is the view of one of his players’ agent, who has anonymously spoken to the Chronicle about their client and the incredible ability of the Toon boss.
It is almost Howe’s one-year anniversary of being Newcastle manager. He was appointed as Steve Bruce’s replacement on November 8th 2021, ending a rather complicated search conducted by the new owners.
They initially wanted Unai Emery, but he turned down a move to St James’ Park. That forced Amanda Staveley and co to turn to their second option on their list, with Howe signing a two-and-a-half year deal with the Magpies.
Emery’s rejection has worked out for the best, as Howe is doing an incredible job with Newcastle. After keeping the club in the Premier League, he now has them challenging for Europe.

The former Bournemouth man is building a brilliant team, and that has been boosted by the players who have been brought to the club.
Agent admits their client’s move to Newcastle has been a ‘dream’
As part of an article in the Chronicle, they have spoken to an overseas agent who represents one of Newcastle’s recent signings. And they have given a glowing review of the club and Howe.
“My client’s move to Newcastle has been a dream,” they said.
“Eddie is one of the top managers, not only in the Premier League but also in Europe.”
Why the client is kept anonymous is anyone’s guess, but it speaks volumes of the feelgood factor around the club at the moment.
Given the fact that the representative is from overseas, it would add up that it is one of Newcastle’s recent foreign signings. That likely means it’s a toss up between Bruno Guimaraes, Sven Botman and Alexander Isak.
The latter has struggled with injuries so far, so it probably isn’t him. And between the other two, you could make an argument for both. They have both enjoyed sensational starts to life on Tyneside, with Botman fitting in brilliantly this season.
As for Bruno, he has been a revelation and could go on to become a Toon legend. He is living the dream at Newcastle, and the exciting thing is that it can get even better.
But the agent’s comments on Howe are telling, and show how highly thought of he is. His reputation has been massively enhanced since his return to football, having seen his stock drop after his Bournemouth departure.
Howe suddenly wasn’t considered a top young manager, but that is no longer the case. He is absolutely adored at Newcastle, and plenty of other clubs will be wishing he was their manager.
This anonymous agent thinks Howe is one of the best on the continent, and that could be put to the test next season if Newcastle qualify for a European competition.
