Unai Emery will reject a move to Newcastle United according to Guillem Balague.
The Spanish journalist has told BBC Sport that Emery feels that the club’s ownership ‘lacks a clear vision’. Thus, he will turn down a return to the Premier league.
This is a big shock, as it looked like a deal was there to be done on Tuesday.

Emery emerged as the frontrunner for the job, and there were even claims that he could be in the dugout on Saturday against Brighton.
News of the former Arsenal boss potentially joining Newcastle delighted supporters who are desperate for a new man to come in as Steve Bruce’s replacement.
But according to Balague, it won’t be Emery.
Or will it?

Craig Hope says otherwise about Emery and Newcastle
Hours before Balague claimed the deal is off, the Daily Mail’s Craig Hope stated that the deal is very much on.
Tuesday night’s report stated that Emery has told the club that he wants the job. They added that he hopes to meet the players on Thursday and take training.
So which is it? There are hugely conflicting stories coming out about Emery. Who should we believe?
Balague’s claim will more likely come from closer to Emery, while the Daily Mail’s report probably comes from people linked to the consortium.

Have the new owners jumped the gun?
On Tuesday, the immediate future of Newcastle United looked exciting with Emery set to lead the charge. Wednesday has brought uncertainty, and a growing worry that someone else will have to guide the club away from the relegation zone.
As always, it is the fans who are left in limbo. Does anyone have Eddie Howe’s number?
