Former Newcastle United ace Gini Wijnaldum’s Paris Saint-Germain nightmare looks set to continue.
The midfielder joined PSG last summer on a free transfer after his Liverpool contract expired, agreeing a £165,000-a-week deal with the Ligue 1 side.
He was part of a summer haul that also saw PSG sign Lionel Messi, Sergio Ramos, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes.
But Wijnaldum’s move to Paris has been a disaster, and now he could be on the way out.

PSG to send Wijnaldum out on loan after Newcastle miss out in January
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Wijnaldum could soon be on the move.
“Paris Saint-Germain and Gini Wijnaldum have decided to part ways this summer, confirmed,” he wrote on Twitter.
“Work in progress to find new club as soon as possible, PSG are prepared to loan him out in the next days or weeks. AS Roma, really interested – but no official bid yet.”
This comes after Newcastle tried and failed to re-sign the Netherlands international in January. The winter window was a tough one for the Magpies, as the new owners looked to make a splash.
The Northern Echo claimed that the Toon owners looked at possibly bringing Wijnaldum back to St James’ Park on loan. However, he was not interested due to the club’s precarious position near the bottom of the table.
He didn’t fancy the relegation fight, much like his one and only season in the North East.

A big name for Newcastle, but is he the right fit?
Talk of Wijnaldum leaving PSG on loan will no doubt lead to speculation of a return to Newcastle. That prospect is probably much more appealing to the 31-year-old now, having avoided relegation last season.
The Magpies are building towards an exciting season, and we are club that players should want to join. Would Wijnaldum fall into that category?
We have been linked with signing a new centre-midfielder, but our current priorities are adding goals to the team.

Wijnaldum’s wages would be an issue, while his January stance shouldn’t sit well with the club or the fans. He didn’t want to come and fight survival, so why should he get the opportunity to reap the rewards of those who did?
Of course, he would be a big signing – he’s an improvement on most of our midfield options and would be a brilliant partner for Bruno Guimaraes.
But an emotional return for Wijnaldum shouldn’t be on the cards. He’s set to leave PSG, but don’t expect a second spell on Tyneside.
