Newcastle won’t be coming up against former player Georginio Wijnaldum next season after signing a three-year deal with PSG.
The Dutchman has been a constant figure in the Premier League since joining Newcastle back in 2015.
He left the Magpies 12 months later after relegation, going on to become a star under Jurgen Klopp at Liverpol.
Wijnaldum enjoyed five strong years at Anfield, winning the Champions League and the Premier League.

However, his time in England is now over.
With his contract at Liverpool expiring, Wijnaldum is off to PSG.
The Ligue 1 club have confirmed the deal, pipping Barcelona to his signature.
For a long time, it looked like Wijnaldum was heading to the Nou Camp.
It was even reported that a deal was done.
However, instead he’s heading to the French capital. According to De Telegraaf, he will earn £165,000-a-week.

Wijnaldum will get the chance to play alongside world class players such as Kylian Mbappe and Neymar.
Of course, he’s no stranger to world class teammates after playing in the same team as Jack Colback.
Perhaps Wijnaldum can have a word with Mbappe, who was worried about the north east weather when told he had signed for Newcastle on Football Manager by Antoine Griezmann.

But while Wijnaldum was hit and miss at St James’ Park, it’s a testament to the man’s quality that he has secured another move to a huge European club.
Newcastle signed a top midfielder back in 2015. Sadly, we weren’t able to keep a hold of him after relegation.
Would he still be with us had we stayed up in 2016? Probably not. But perhaps he would’ve been remembered more fondly.
