It was a famous night for Newcastle United as they smashed Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.
In what has been billed as the dreaded Champions League ‘Group of Death’ alongside Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan, Newcastle recorded a statement win over the French champions.
They ran out 4-1 winners on a historic night at St James’ Park, putting the likes of Kylian Mbappe to shame.

What was so amazing was to see two local lads on the scoresheet. Dan Burn and Sean Longstaff both notched, the kind of thing dreams are made of.
Eddie Howe’s side put PSG and all of their superstars to the sword and it seems one of the scorers even got a souvenir.
Presenter notices who got Kylian Mbappe’s shirt after full-time
Indeed, TNT Sports presenter Jules Breach noticed it was in fact Longstaff who got Mbappe’s shirt to further remember what is surely the most incredible night in his career.
“We think we saw you asking for Mbappe’s shirt earlier. How did you beat everyone else to it?” she asked.
“I was blocking him for the goalkeeper so I thought I’d try and get it for my little brother. Hopefully I still get it!”

A touch of class from Longstaff
If Newcastle had have lost, getting Mbappe’s shirt would have looked small-time.
After having won by such a margin, however, it serves as a memento on what was a fantastic night. For Longstaff to get that shirt for his brother – who didn’t quite make the grade for the club – is a true touch of class.
What a story Longstaff is. Having struggled under Steve Bruce, he’s now scoring in the biggest games around and still has the thought to think of his brother.
Newcastle are incredibly lucky to have him in their ranks.
