Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe is so talented that he could probably sort out the mess at Manchester United.
Despite spending a huge amount of money once again, there has not been much improvement at Old Trafford.
Man United bought Benjamin Sesko ahead of Newcastle, while Bryan Mbeumo also wanted to move to the North West instead of the North East. Add in the addition of Matheus Cunha and the Red Devils have made some exciting signings.
However, Ruben Amorim is still struggling. His side lost to Brentford on Saturday, while they also crashed out of the Carabao Cup in embarrassing fashion to Grimsby Town.
Amid their problems, there is speculation that Amorim could lose his job. That would lead to the Manchester United hierarchy needing to appoint another manager, and it would be easy to understand if they targeted Eddie Howe.
However, Peter Crouch believes the idea of the Newcastle United manager joining Man United is unimaginable.

Peter Crouch says Eddie Howe would ‘never’ leave Newcastle for Manchester United
Speaking on the latest episode of That Peter Crouch Podcast, the former Liverpool and England striker said that someone had floated the idea to him of Howe replacing Amorim.
Crouch immediately shut that suggestion down, explaining why that simply is not going to happen.
“Someone mentioned Eddie Howe to me, right, to go to [Manchester] United,” he said.
“But why would he leave Newcastle?
“To take a job that, since Alex Ferguson has left, like Moyes, Van Gaal, Mourinho. These aren’t bad managers. Do you know what I mean? And their stock has certainly not gone up for them, in the Manchester United job.
“You would never leave Newcastle to go there.”
Does Eddie Howe have a release clause at Newcastle United?
Even if Manchester United did decide to sack Amorim and launch an approach for Howe, they would have to dig deep into their pockets.
As well as paying off Amorim, Jim Ratcliffe would also need to activate Howe’s release clause at St James’ Park.
It was reported in October 2024 by the Telegraph that Howe’s release clause is worth more than £6million.
Taking the financial aspect out of it, Eddie Howe is happy at Newcastle United. As Crouch says, there is no way that Man United would be able to tempt him out of St James’ Park.
While he might have the talent to sort out the mess they are in, they are not going to be afforded that luxury. Howe is the man at Newcastle United, and will continue to be for a long, long time.
