Newcastle defender Jamal Lewis started in Northern Ireland’s trip to Lithuania last night.
It was a fantastic evening for Ian Baraclough’s side as they emerged with a stunning 4-1 win.
Lewis played the full 90 minutes as Northern Ireland picked up a crucial win in World Cup qualifying.
As per WhoScored, only one of Lewis’ teammates made more tackles than his two.
He laid on a chance with a key pass and no Northern Irishman who started the game bettered his passing success rate of 85.4 per cent.
The Belfast Telegraph rated Lewis’ performance as a 7/10, writing: “Delicious early cross for Lavery chance, resolute at back and attacking threat. Tidy and effective.”
Belfast Live also gave him a 7, adding: “Was lively on the overlap and whipped in an early cross for Shayne Lavery. Left wing-back looked really sharp despite a recent lack of games for Newcastle United.”
