The Geordies have had some seriously prolific goalscorers in the club’s history. Here are the Newcastle United all-time record goalscorers
The likes of Alan Shearer, Peter Beardsley and Les Ferdinand are just a few of the legendary names who have found the back of the net with ease at St James’ Park over the years.
A prolific goalscorer is integral to any first-team squad. They are often the difference in big fixtures and ultimately the key to trophies.
But who are the top 10 goalscorers in Newcastle United‘s club’s history?

10 – Bryan Robson – 97 goals
Better known as Pop, Bryan Robson started his senior career at Newcastle in 1962. He helped Newcastle win the second division in 1965, and the Fairs Cup in 1969. He would also have three spells with Sunderland, where he would later work as a scout.
9 – Neil Harris – 101 goals
Nell Harris was another Scot who scored a lot of goals for the Magpies. In 1924, he scored the opening goal as Newcastle won the FA Cup.
8 – Tom McDonald – 113 goals
Scottish forwards have had a lot of joy at Newcastle, and Tom McDonald was no different.
Before playing 367 times for Newcastle, he served in the First World War.
7 – Bobby Mitchell – 113 goals
Dazzler played in a golden era for Newcastle United. On top of his goals, he also won three FA Cups during his Toon career.

6 – Peter Beardsley – 119 goals
One of the most naturally gifted players in the club’s history, Peter Beardsley scored 119 goals across two spells for Newcastle.
5 – Malcolm MacDonald – 121 goals
A key player in the 70s, Supermac won the Golden Boot in 1975.
Surprisingly, he ended his career rather early at the age of 29, after playing in Sweden for a couple of months.
4 – Hughie Gallacher – 143 goals
In December 1925, Newcastle paid £6,500 to sign Hughie Gallacher. It was big money at the time, but it was a decision that paid off.
Gallacher was a phenomenal goalscorer for club and country, scoring 24 goals in 20 appearances for Scotland.
3 – Len White – 153 goals
Len White spent 10 years at Newcastle between 1952 and 1962 and is one of only three players to score more than 150 goals for the Magpies.

2 – Jackie Milburn – 200 goals
After leaving Newcastle in 1957, Wor Jackie held the honour of being Newcastle’s leading goalscorer for almost 50 years.
He has been immortalised with a statue just outside of St James’ Park, while the West Stand is named after him.
1 – Alan Shearer – 206 goals
Not only is Alan Shearer Newcastle’s top scorer, but he is also the top scorer in the Premier League.
The legendary striker scored 206 times for Newcastle, with his final goal coming in a 4-1 win over Sunderland on April 17th 2006. The Toon broke the bank to get him, smashing the English transfer record.
He is the cream of the crop when it comes to Newcastle United’s all-time record goalscorers.
