The Magpies kick off the new campaign against West Ham at home. It will be the second season in a row in which the Magpies face the Hammers first.

On Boxing Day, Newcastle welcome Manchester United to St James’ Park.

Our final game of the 2021/22 season will be Burnley away.

Of course, the dates are subject to change, with the television companies yet to confirm which ties they will broadcast.

Reaction to Newcastle fixtures

It looks like Newcastle have a decent start to the season. Our first three games are tough, but they’re winnable.

However, December looks insanely tough, with consecutive games against Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Everton.

Southampton away on New Year’s Day is, quite frankly, ridiculous. It’s decisions like this that infuriate supporters.

Our run-in looks somewhat tricky. Three of our final four games are against Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal. That will put pressure on the Magpies to ensure safety is already guaranteed by that point.

But compared to recent years, it looks like the fixture list has been kind to Newcastle United.
