Newcastle United are ready to sell players in the upcoming transfer window, but one midfielder has begged Paul Mitchell to keep him at the club.
The upcoming transfer window is set to be an incredibly important one for the Magpies as they embark on a second European tour in three seasons.
With Champions League qualification on the horizon, Newcastle United’s upcoming transfer window will be a ‘game-changer’.
Eddie Howe’s side are currently fourth in the table, but can move further away from sixth with a win against Chelsea on Sunday.
Newcastle are expected to sell this summer, with the futures of Callum Wilson, Matt Targett, Sean Longstaff and Nick Pope all unknown.
While sporting director Paul Mitchell prepares for a busy summer window, one player has made it clear that he does not want to leave Newcastle in a hurry.

Baran Yildiz rules out Newcastle United exit
18-year-old Baran Yildiz only joined Newcastle in the January transfer window, but he is expected to leave the club on loan this summer.
Head of strategic partnerships Jack Ross is tasked with finding Newcastle’s young players loan moves, per Mitchell’s request.
Newcastle’s new signing Antonio Cordero is set to be shipped out on loan this summer when he arrives at the club on a free transfer. The belief is that Cordero will join Ajax for his first season.
While that is the plan for other young players, Yildiz is eager to stay on Tyneside to fight for a place in Newcastle’s first-team squad.
Speaking to Fanatik, Yildiz was asked about his move to Newcastle and whether he expects to be loaned out next season.
“I have no intention of returning to Turkey for the time being,” he said.
“I don’t want to leave if I get an offer, not only from Turkey but also from anywhere in the world. This is the best league in the world, I want to stay here. I want to play against Bruno Fernandes and Odegaard from Manchester United. They are both top-tier players. I want to meet them.”
“They’re both top-level players. I want to face them. I took Tonali as an example. He was in Milan when I watched him, now I have the chance to be friends. And Kevin de Bruyne. I liked him a lot too. He plays much better in the number 10 position.”
Yildiz made his debut for Newcastle’s under-18s in March, bagging an assist after coming on in the final minutes of the game. The midfielder has since made three more appearances, earning his first start in a 3-3 draw against Leeds United, which saw 17-year-old Kacey Wooster score a hat-trick.

Baran Yildiz has already improved since Newcastle United move
In January, Yildiz joined Newcastle alongside 18-year-old striker Kyle Fitzgerald. The youngster joined from Irish side Galway United, the same club Alex Murphy came from.
Fitzgerald has been brilliant for Newcastle since joining. At just 18, he is showing signs of becoming a useful player for Howe in the future.
Yildiz joined Newcastle from Turkish second-tier side Genclerbirligi, a huge step up in quality compared to what he is used to. However, the young midfielder believes he is reaping the benefits from his coaching on Tyneside.
“The tempo in the Premier League is higher than in Turkey,” Yildiz added in the same Fanatik interview.
“I realised this in my first training session. In the first training session, my coaches started me training slowly so that I would not get injured. I would get tired very easily in the beginning. Now I feel better physically and in terms of tempo. I want to finish this season in the best way possible and start next season even better.
“I don’t think this offer (to join Newcastle) is too early, it’s the right time. I feel like I will be more comfortable if I get used to this tempo. It’s better for me to see and know how hard football is played. I want to be here permanently. That’s my goal right now. I want to contribute to my team. I want to get to the first team.”
