TEAMtalk have reported that there are complications with a potential move for Everton’s Yerry Mina to Newcastle. United The sacking of Rafael Benitez means that the Colombia international is less likely to arrive on Tyneside.
As Everton look for a new manager to bring in to replace the ex-Magpies bos, it currently makes the situation complicated.
Should the Toffees decide on their future manager relatively quickly, it could mean that Mina works his way back into the side.

Mina’s fitness would be an issue if he was signed by Newcastle
Links of Mina to Tyneside were discussed last month, according to Jeunes Footeux, with AC Milan also interested.
The 27-year-old has had quite a few injuries since joining Everton. He’s certainly very good on his day, but with a fairly consistent injury record, Mina isn’t someone Newcastle can trust.
Additionally, it’s been tough for Mina this season. He has featured only eight times for Everton this season – these were mostly towards the start of the campaign.
Last weekend’s defeat to Norwich saw Mina make an appearance off the bench, replacing Seamus Coleman. Perhaps a new manager will take a chance on the Colombian if he can stay fit.

Newcastle still has their sights set on acquiring Diego Carlos from Sevilla. However, with the number of names linked with the club, you get the feeling PIF will want to bring in two centre-backs.
Unfortunately, other targets such as Sven Botman and James Tarkowski seem highly unlikely at this point. Having said that, they should continue to look elsewhere.
Mina’s injury record would make him too much of a gamble. Newcastle needs defenders who will guarantee fitness until the end of the season, the Columbian international is too much of a risk.
