Newcastle United have had a rather strange relationship with goals this season.
At times, Eddie Howe’s side have looked short of ideas. Indeed, there have been draws against the likes of Crystal Palace, Leeds and Bournemouth, games Newcastle should well have won.
Whereas at other points, they have plundered plentiful amounts. Six against Tottenham, five against West Ham, four against Everton, it’s remarkable how it appears to be a case of feast or famine.

Which is why it is hard to judge transfer reports when it comes to linking the club with big name strikers.
Both Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson have enjoyed prolific campaigns but it seems a new forward will still be targeted.
Newcastle now linked with move for Dusan Vlahovic
According 90 Min, the Magpies are weighing up a move for Juventus forward Dusan Vlahovic.
The Serbian international’s big money move to the Turin giants has not quite gone to plan and 38 appearances have yielded only 13 goals across all competitions.
Newcastle, Arsenal and Aston Villa are all said to be casting keen eyes over his situation and are weighing up offers for the 23-year-old.
Said to be unsettled in Italy, Vlahovic is believed to be open to the idea of a move to the Premier League.

Juve move does not tell the whole story
Vlahovic joined Juve at a difficult time as their grip on the title Serie A title started to loosen.
Still, that does not mean he is a bad player by any means. Described as “majestic” by former teammate Alvaro Odriozola, the forward has certainly made quite the impact even at this early stage of his career.
Just over two years since arriving in Italy from Partizan Belgrade, he equalled Cristiano Ronaldo’s record of Serie A goals in a calendar year (33).
With plenty of room to grow and with something to prove, Vlahovic would be an excellent signing.
