West Ham no longer want Armando Broja, meaning Newcastle United are back in the mix for the Chelsea striker.
The 20-year-old looked set to link up with David Moyes’ side, but that is no longer the case. West Ham are now signing Gianluca Scamacca from Sassuolo, which is ending their interest in Broja.
This opens the door for Newcastle to re-enter the conversation, having previously been interested in the forward.
i News have reported that the Magpies are still in with a chance of signing Broja, and now the Northern Echo have provided some additional information.

Newcastle want to know what Chelsea plan to do with Broja
According to the Northern Echo, the Magpies want answers from Chelsea regarding their stance over Broja.
It’s been claimed that the forward only wants a permanent move, while the club are mainly interested in loaning him out. However, the report adds there is a chance he could be kept at Stamford Bridge until January.
For Newcastle, they need to know where Chelsea stand. If they are going to keep a hold of Broja then we need to know now so we can look elsewhere. However, if a loan deal does appeal then we need to put together a package that tempts them and the player.

The Magpies reportedly want a loan with an option to buy, which might help convince Broja to make a temporary move to St James’ Park. He will know that if he impresses he can become a permanent Magpie. As for Chelsea, they will have the option of moving him on permanently next summer when their striker picture will hopefully be much clearer.
While he is a very talented forward, there’s surely no chance he will get the minutes he needs under Thomas Tuchel. If he stays until January, he will spend most of his days sat on the bench. That is exactly what he doesn’t need after his solid season on loan at Southampton last time out.
A move away is best for everyone, but Chelsea hold the cards. Newcastle want answers, and hopefully they get the one they want.
