Christian Eriksen has reportedly emerged as a new summer transfer target for Newcastle United.
That’s according to 90min, who state the Magpies are one of multiple Premier League clubs eyeing a move for the midfielder.
They add that Tottenham, West Ham, Crystal Palace, Everton and Aston Villa are also looking at a potential deal. Fulham are also mentioned as a possible destination, with the Cottagers all but set for a return to the top flight.
So nearly half the Premier League are allegedly interested… Meanwhile, Brentford are reportedly keen to keep him in West London.
Eriksen is a man in demand, and that’s a testament to his form at the Brentford Community Stadium.

It was a beautiful story when it emerged Eriksen was set for a return to football. He joined Brentford in January, despite reported interest from Newcastle.
But the Danish playmaker wanted to return to the capital, and signed a deal with the Bees until the end of the season.
He made his emotional return in a 2-0 defeat to the Magpies, but has been excellent in red and white ever since.
The 30-year-old scored his first Premier League goal for Brentford in the recent 4-1 win over Chelsea. Combine his form for Brentford with his recent performances for Denmark and it’s clear he hasn’t lost a step.
Given his form, it’s no surprise that so many clubs are keen on signing him this summer. The interest is even more logical considering he could be available on a free transfer.
He would arrive on a free and has already proven that he can still perform in the Premier League – that’s why so many clubs are keen to sign him.
Newcastle are one of them, and Eddie Howe would certainly benefit from having a creative midfielder like Eriksen in his ranks.
