Newcastle transfer news: Pedro wants to play with Bruno and Joelinton

Bruno Guimaraes and Joelinton are influencing Newcastle on the pitch, and now they are having a say off it too.

The Magpies are currently trying to sign Joao Pedro from Watford, and are going to make a second bid for him. The Northern Echo believe Dan Ashworth will now make an offer worth £28million in total.

Whether that’s enough to convince Watford to sell remains to be seen. They reportedly want £30million for the 20-year-old.

Watford boss Rob Edwards wants to keep him, and believes he will become an ‘excellent footballer‘.

However, Pedro’s people believe he should be allowed to leave. The Chronicle state that his representatives are ‘mystified’ as to why the first bid was turned down.

The Brazilian wants to move to Newcastle, and Bruno and Joelinton are part of the reason why.

According to the Chronicle, Pedro is keen to play alongside fellow Brazilians Bruno and Joelinton at St James’ Park. The pair are part of Eddie Howe’s midfield, and are two of the first names on the teamsheet.

They have brought the Samba flair to Tyneside, and Toon fans will often be seen donning yellow shirts and flying the Brazilian flag.

And Pedro wants to be a part of that. Earlier in the year we wrote about a possible Brazilian revolution at St James’ Park, and it looks like that could be a possibility.

Pedro’s stance also highlights the importance of Bruno. Players want to play alongside him, such is his ability. The same goes for Joelinton, who has seriously stepped up over the past year.

The fact that they can inspire other players to make the move to Newcastle is great news. And Pedro isn’t the only Brazilian who the Magpies have been recently linked with.

Reports in South America have stated that we want wonderkids Angelo and Giovani. Perhaps they will try and force a move to play alongside Bruno and Joelinton too.

But for now the focus is on Joao Pedro, and he wants to become a Magpie. However, that decision lies with Watford, who must first accept an offer from Newcastle.
