Newcastle United face stiff competition from to sign Darwin Nunez this summer.
According to the Athletic, Manchester United, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are interested in signing the striker.
Nunez has been linked with the Magpies ever since the takeover, and was reportedly a target going into January.
A move failed to materialise, but interest in Nunez has refused to go away. Newcastle are looking to sign a marquee striker this summer, with Nunez’s name still being mentioned as a potential option.
The 22-year-old would be a remarkable signing for Eddie Howe. Nunez is one of the most in demand strikers in the world, and currently has 31 goals in all competitions this season for Benfica.

Newcastle may have missed their chance to sign Darwin Nunez
The Athletic have named three of the biggest clubs in the world that are chasing Nunez. But not only are they interested, the report states that they are the ‘front-runners’.
That’s not good news for Newcastle, who have been chasing the Uruguayan forward for months.
Compared to Chelsea, PSG and Man United, it’s difficult to see how Newcastle can entice Nunez to St James’ Park.
All three clubs can offer European football, with two of them almost definitely playing in next season’s Champions League. They can all offer major wages too – just like Newcastle can.
PSG and Chelsea will be competing for honours, while Man United will hope to join them. In contrast, Newcastle and their project is still in its infancy.
With so many big clubs keen, perhaps the Magpies have missed their opportunity to sign Nunez.
