Newcastle United have received a huge boost, with Callum Wilson back in light training.
The striker has been missing since the 2-2 draw with Southampton, picking up a thigh problem that has ruled him out of the last three games.
The club have confirmed that Wilson will be missing on Saturday against Wolves, but a return is seemingly on the horizon.
Training pictures have been released ahead of this weekend’s trip to Molineux, and Wilson’s beaming smile can be seen as he returns to light training.

The number nine was enjoying a decent start to the season, scoring twice.
Callum Wilson returning to training is a huge boost
Newcastle have certainly missed Wilson, and are still without a win this season.
During Wilson’s absence, the Magpies have been a bit more attacking. However, they’ve been unable to convert their chances.
It massively cost them against Watford, where they dominated the game for large parts. But they didn’t take their chances and were punished by an Ismaila Sarr header.

If Wilson was on the pitch, surely the result would have been different. Or perhaps if the club had signed sufficient backup in case this situation arose…
Interestingly, Dwight Gayle has only made one substitute appearance so far during Wilson’s spell on the sidelines.
After the 29-year-old picked up his injury, it was reported that he would return after the international break. That seems likely to be the case, and hopefully Wilson features against Tottenham on October 17th.
