A queue is forming to sign Bruno Guimaraes this summer, but Newcastle United have a plan to keep him at St James’ Park.

Bruno has been a man in demand ever since he joined Newcastle, quickly proving that the elite clubs had been sleeping on his talents.

The 25-year-old has been ‘amazing’ on Tyneside, leading to interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs.

Real Madrid were the first to show their hand, but talk of Jude Bellingham joining Los Blancos should end speculation of Bruno moving to the Bernabeu. Then there was a report stating that Chelsea tried to sign him in January.

There is still a trio of clubs interested in the Brazilian, but Newcastle appear to have everything in place to thwart off any suitors.

Newcastle prepare new contract for Bruno Guimaraes

According to AS in Spain, Newcastle’s owners are preparing to offer Bruno a contract that would make him the best paid player in the club’s history.

That is despite the fact that AS believe Barcelona, Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain all want to sign him. They even state that the Reds are prepared to pay £87million to secure his signature.

AS report that Liverpool see Bruno as the perfect player for Jurgen Klopp’s side, but hopefully that does not lead him to Anfield.

He is equally as perfect for Newcastle, and has become a talisman for the club ever since his arrival from Lyon. He has not been shy about his ambitions, and they could be realised next season with the Magpies closing in on Champions League qualification.

As long as Newcastle are delivering on the pitch, Bruno has no reason to leave Tyneside. He has embraced the region and is adored by the Toon Army.

We have seen a dip in form from the Brazilian as of late, but that appears to be down to a niggling ankle injury that continues to plague him. Hopefully he finds a solution to that problem at the end of the season.

But there should be no problem with his wrist, allowing him to put pen to paper on a new Newcastle United contract.
