While Newcastle United might be without Alexander Isak against Luton Town on Saturday, they could be able to welcome another attacker back from injury.
Isak was forced off during the win over Aston Villa on Tuesday night, with Eddie Howe hoping that it is not a serious injury for the super Swede.
If Isak is ruled out, it will mean Newcastle do not have any fit strikers as Callum Wilson is also currently out of action. That could lead to Anthony Gordon playing through the middle, which he did so well at Villa Park.
But while Newcastle sweat on Isak’s fitness, there is positive news regarding Harvey Barnes.
The 26-year-old has not been seen since the 8-0 win over Sheffield United back in September. He has been injured ever since, and it has been a long road to recovery.
But Barnes has been getting closer and closer to a comeback, and now we might get the chance to see him this weekend.

Newcastle could have Harvey Barnes back against Luton Town
According to the Northern Echo, Harvey Barnes has stepped up his recovery in recent days, and Newcastle now hope that he can train with the rest of the team later this week.
They add that if he does that then he should be in contention to feature against Luton Town.
That will be a huge boost for Eddie Howe, who has barely been able to use his big money summer signing. Barnes arrived for £39million, but has been limited to just seven appearances so far.
He has been a big miss, with Newcastle rarely being able to rotate their forward line. That could soon be about to change, with Barnes due to return.
Hopefully he can come through training unscathed this week and avoid any setbacks. That would be absolutely devastating, and there is caution behind the scenes on Tyneside as Barnes edges closer to full fitness.
