The mood is high following the confirmation of Howe as manager last week.
The former Bournemouth boss has a huge job on his hands.
But supporters generally feel he is up to the task, and many have been enjoying the snippets of content the club have been putting out since his arrival.
Fans enjoyed him getting the players in for training at St. James’ Park on Saturday morning.
That is something that likely never would have happened under the previous manager.

Following the international break, nearly all players were involved in Wednesday’s session.
Only Paul Dummett (injury) and Miguel Almiron (played in Colombia on Tuesday for Paraguay) were absent.
On social media, one thing was quite apparent to many Newcastle fans.
Despite being winless, the group appears to be in high spirits.
There are lots of big smiles, suggesting the players have already warmed to Howe and his coaching staff.
