Newcastle United fans have been reacting to news of Eddie Howe getting his players in for training on a Saturday morning at St. James’ Park.
The 43-year-old was announced as the club’s new manager earlier this week.

And the hard work has already started for Howe, with the Magpies currently under threat from relegation.
The team are still winless in 2021/22.
At the moment, the gap to safety is five points, and Howe undoubtedly has a huge job on his hands.
But so far, he has at least given fans a reason to get behind him.
He has looked very lively in the snippets we have seen from training.
He also spoke really well at his unveiling.
By all accounts, the players have been responding well to Howe coming in, with a training ground source claiming he has been ‘transformational’ (via Chronicle).

Yesterday morning, Toon fans were pleasantly surprised to see posts from the club showing that Howe had been putting his players through their paces in training.
It seems clear to people that Howe recognises the severity of the club’s situation.

Seemingly he feels there is a lot of work to do, with a bunch of players that have struggled for so long under the previous manager.
