Newcastle United fans have been reacting to Andy Carroll making a stunning goal line clearance for Reading yesterday.
The former Magpies striker recently joined the Royals on a short-term deal.

He’s there to provide a bit of cover for the Championship outfit, and it has been a decent start so far for the 32-year-old.
Carroll was making his fifth appearance in blue and white yesterday. He was looking to add to the two goals he has already scored for the club against Swansea City and Hull City.
Reading were facing West Bromwich Albion, who are amongst the favourites for promotion to the Premier League come May next year.
Carroll didn’t end up scoring, but he did make a goal line clearance which was about as good as scoring at the other end.
Typically, Carroll was back to defend a West Brom corner. That is something he has always done given his aerial prowess.
Carroll initially got his head to the incoming corner, and the star then stumbled back into his own goal.
The ball then came back in on the volley from striker Callum Robinson and remarkably, Carroll just managed to get up in time to head the ball into the ground and away from goal.
It was a heroic action, but unfortunately Reading could not make it count.
They went on to lose the game 1-0. The result leaves the club just two points clear of the relegation zone.
