Newcastle United fans have been reacting to a post shared on social media by Elliot Anderson yesterday.
The talented teenager took to Instagram to share quotes from Kylian Mbappe that appear to offer an insight into the player’s current mindset.
The message posted by SportBible and shared by Anderson read: “I never liked talking about age. If you’re good you play, if you’re not good you don’t play.
“If you’re good you take the responsibility. If you’re not good, you shut up and watch the others.
“Don’t talk to me about age, don’t talk to me about levels.”
The post came yesterday, after Anderson had been left out of the matchday squad to face Chelsea on Monday night.
It was the first time the 18-year-old has been overlooked a for a squad since making his debut for the club against Arsenal in the FA Cup.
It was a frustration for some supporters not to see Anderson given how lively his was in his first cameo.
The fact he was left out altogether against Chelsea now has some fans worried about his fate for the rest of the season.
Bruce seemingly felt ready to call on him after it was reported loan offers were turned down for him in January.
But some Newcastle fans have a bad feeling about what the snub will now mean for Anderson:
Needs competitive games. Should of loaned him out to League 1 possibly. Looks strong enough.

This coach hasn’t got a development bone in his body, he’s incapable of bringing players on or coaching them in any way, shape or form. He’s too busy playing his picks to give them a chance, hendricks etc, despite their obvious limitations.

The lad could play with his laces tied and produce more than Joelinton. I would have him in alongside Hayden in centre midfield. Bruce is ruining him by not letting him go out on loan or giving him minutes on the pitch. #BruceOut

Matty 2.0. Soon or later Bruce will try to turn the fans or at least some of them againat him. Just like he did with Matty. He should stay here to develop himself. If he leave it must be for money. Now take that developing.

Hes being wasted by Brucey. Give him minutes or allow him to go out in loan to gain minutes and experience. Any wonder any half decent talent ho elsewhere, this NUFC will destroy any talent and hold them back.

We’ll say he’s not good enough & sell him like we did with Armstrong & Toney. Our scouts are a joke & whoever decides what players stay and go needs to find another job. How do we sell Toney & buy Joelinton? Toneys scored almost 30 goals this season, joe hasn’t made 20 passes

There’s no limit to the club’s mismanagement

This is the reason why we don’t have young talent coming through. I fear he won’t get a chance, not through his ability but through the sheer ineptitude of the club.

This happens to all our young outfield players. Don’t get the mins here but don’t go on loan either. Weirdly the young keepers all go out though krul did Forster and now woodman went out a few times
