Newcastle have announced a new partnership with AstroPay, as per the club’s website.
Dale Aitchison, Newcastle’s Head of Commercial, said: “We are very pleased to welcome AstroPay on board and to announce the beginning of our new, mutually beneficial partnership.
“AstroPay is an innovator in payment solutions with a respected reputation globally.
“We look forward to supporting the brand on its journey forward and providing a platform for AstroPay to connect with our local, national and international audiences.”
Some fans have reacted to the news on Twitter. After a disappointing transfer window, they’re wondering whether the money from new sponsorship arrangements will be invested in the team.
This is not the first new sponsor that Newcastle have announced this season.
But Joe Willock was the only signing of a transfer window where Newcastle did not come out any stronger than they ended last season.
