DeAndre Yedlin may not have particularly wanted to leave Newcastle United in January, but his move to Galatasaray is certainly working out well so far.
The USA international departed St. James’ Park at the start of the year after failing to come to an agreement over a new contract with the Magpies.

By all accounts, Yedlin was hoping to prolong his stay in the north east (Chronicle).
But an appropriate offer seemingly never came, causing Yedlin to publicly voice his frustration.
He headed to Turkey with Galatasaray, and he has made a promising start to life with the Super Lig outfit.
A recent ankle injury has limited him to 11 appearances so far, but he’s impressed at right-back when he has played.

He’s tasted defeat just twice, and Gala could actually win the league on Saturday having enjoyed a strong end to the season.
They sit second but level on points (81) with leaders Besiktas, with Fenerbahce a couple of points behind (79).
Good for Yedlin
Hopefully Gala can get the job done this weekend as it would be nice to see Yedlin become a title-winner.

He may not have always been consistent in the black and white of Newcastle, but he was a good servant and always gave his all.
And his exit was a little bit of a shame, so it would be a sweet feeling for him if he can lift the Super Lig title.
