Michael Emenalo is reportedly still open to taking up a role at Newcastle United.
According to The Chronicle, the former Chelsea and AS Monaco man has left the door open to kickstart talks again.

It has been reported over the weekend that Emenalo had failed to reach an agreement with Newcastle’s new owners, after flying to Saudi Arabia for talks.
But apparently he ‘would be interested in continuing his discussions’ and ‘the door was not completely closed’.
Newcastle’s hunt for a new director of football is seemingly taking a similar path to how the club’s appointment of Eddie Howe as manager transpired.
Hopefully, a decision will arrive soon, with the next transfer window now less than a month away.

Emenalo is thought to have a recruitment plan in place, and wants to use his links to sign younger stars.
Apparently, Howe and also Jamie Reuben are in favour of Emenalo coming in.
Newcastle need to make director of football decision soon, as Michael Emenalo leaves door open for talks
Newcastle’s new owners probably need to get a move on.
The January transfer window is right around the corner, and someone needs to be in place ideally in the weeks before it officially opens.

It seems Emenalo is keen to land the role, and it is unclear why there hasn’t been an agreement yet.
His work at Chelsea was very impressive, so hopefully an agreement can be reached in the end.
