Micah Richards believes that Newcastle United’s in-form winger Ryan Fraser is playing with a “spark and freedom”.
The Scotland international continued his rich vein of form with a goal and an assist which helped Eddie Howe’s side beat Brighton and Hove Albion 2-1 at St James’ Park yesterday.
Fresh after being nominated for February’s Premier League player of the month, Fraser began the new month in the same devastating fashion.
He scored the opener against the Seagulls after reacting the fastest to Jacob Murphy’s dinked effort which came back off the post.

Moments later, the 28-year-old turned provider with a free-kick on the right-hand touchline which was met with a bullet header from Fabian Schar.
The former Bournemouth man’s performance drew praise from pundit Micah Richards on last night’s Match of the Day on BBC One.
Richards said: “You can just see now he’s playing with such confidence. There was reports of them falling out with the way it ended [at Bournemouth], but I heard it was a rumour and it was nonsense.
“You can see in his game – he’s running in-behind, he’s following things up and he’s just playing with that spark and freedom and it ties in with Newcastle’s form – they’ve been excellent.
“Chipping in with set pieces. His all round performance was very good.”

Newcastle’s number 21 has now been involved in four Magpies goals from our last five matches.
The winger is showing signs of the form that saw him score seven goals and make 14 assists in the 2018/19 Premier League campaign.
In Allan Saint-Maximin’s absence, Ryan Fraser has more than stepped up to the plate and relished the extra responsibility placed on his shoulders.
