It’s set to be a huge night for Newcastle United when they play their final home game of the season against Arsenal.

The Magpies have been on a real journey in the 2021/22 campaign. It started with next to no hope and fear of the drop, but it ends with belief of better times ahead.

Newcastle are safe, which didn’t seem likely at the start of the year. Now we go into the summer with fresh optimism and renewed hope.

Eddie Howe has done a remarkable job in keeping Newcastle up, and he’s helped build a brilliant atmosphere inside St James’ Park.

As the season has gone on, Wor Flags’ displays have got bigger and bigger. They’ve gone from dazzling in the Gallowgate to taking over the entire stadium. Even Level Seven was involved against Liverpool!

The group are going one step further against Arsenal, with every single supporter set to have a role to play.

There is going to be special displays in the Gallowgate, Leazes and the East Stand, while every single seat will have a foil on it for fans to hold up before kick off.

Wor Flags have asked supporters to arrive at their seats early tonight to ensure their display looks as good as it possibly can.

Mehrdad Ghodoussi thanks Wor Flags ahead of Arsenal display

Ahead of the game, Wor Flags have sent a message to supporters about tonight. And Toon co-owner Mehrdad Ghodoussi has responded.

He thanks Wor Flags for what they’re doing, as well as writing ‘let’s make it special’. It certainly will be special if their previous displays are anything to go by.

Ghodoussi will be involved, just like he has been in recent weeks. He even accused Miguel Almiron of stealing his flag after the Leicester win.

Alan Shearer has also responded to the Wor Flags statement on Twitter, simply writing ‘great work’. It’s been just that from the group, with volunteers putting in so many hours to help create something special inside St James’ Park.

Part of going to the game is about feeling the atmosphere before kick off, and fans are always excited to see what Wor Flags do next. Tonight will be massive, and you just know they’ll continue to impress next season.

The atmosphere before kick off tonight will be electric, and hopefully inspire Howe’s team to sign off with a victory.
