Wor Flags are set to take over St James’ Park once again tonight when Newcastle face Wolves.

The flag displays have been a constant since the change of ownership six months ago. The group have put on some fantastic displays, creating a real buzz before the game.

The work that is put in by Wor Flags is tremendous, and they’re continuing to go the extra mile.

Newcastle take on Wolves at home tonight; their first at St James’ Park since the 2-1 win over Brighton on March 5th.

The Magpies have had four away games in a row since, but are finally set to return to home.

The Wor Flags displays have traditionally been held in the Gallowgate, but that has changed in recent games.

First they added the Leazes, and then the East Stand was asked to join in last time out.

But Wor Flags aren’t stopping there. Against Wolves, all four sides of the ground will be involved, with flags already in place to be waved in the Milburn Stand.

Wor Flags ask Mehrdad Ghodoussi to take part

Ahead of the game, Wor Flags tweeted out pictures of them preparing the flags for tonight’s game. They even placed one of the larger flags on co-owner Mehrdad Ghodoussi’s seat before sending him a message.

“We’ve put flags on your seats for tomorrow. Get it waving,” they wrote. He simply replied with a laughing face emoji.

Alas, this was just a joke from the supporters group, who instead have placed a few smaller black and white flags in the director’s box.

It’ll be exciting to see the owners involved in the display, as Wor Flags continues to take over St James’ Park. Next on the agenda will be Level Seven, although the endless steps might put them off!

Despite this being the first home game in a month, it’s been a very busy week for the group. Wor Flags were present at the Utilita Arena on Tuesday and Wednesday night, helping out local lad Sam Fender.

The North Shields star walked on stage to the sound of Local Hero, while the flags usually seen at SJP helped create a real pre-gig buzz.

It delighted Kieran Trippier, but angered some Sunderland fans.
